Both Mr. and Mrs. M work hard. They decided to put off having children for the next four or five years. Their everyday meals are not healthy. They often eat fast food and fried food. Because their life style is busy, they do not eat breakfast and eat dinner late at night. Additionaly, they are not careful about what they eat. And they do not have time to exercise.
There are some problems about Mr. M. He skips his breakfast. Because of that, he will feel hunger and eat many high calorie foods. And he should stop eating fried foods and eat boiled or grilled foods instead. He does not eat vegetables and fruits. This is a serious problem too. These foods contain dietary fiber. A high-fiber diet helps to prevent colon cancer. So, he must eat these foods every day. Mr. M had better stop smoking. By smoking too much, he will have the risk of lung cancer. To smoke is not good for his wife. Mr. M has high blood pressure. And he has a high level of LDL. He has a high risk for heart disease. He is so busy. So, if he has no time to exercise, he should change his meal. It is important for Mr. M to reduce his LDL level and raise his HDL. If his HDL level is high, he will not increase his risk of heart disease.
Foods which Mrs. M eats at lunch contain much cholesterol and sugar. If she eats these foods often, the amount of cholesterol in her blood is increased. Too much cholesterol in her blood can raise her risk of heart disease. An LDL cholesterol level of less than 130 is best. But Mrs. M's LDL is 165. She must exercise to raise her HDL cholesterol level. HDL is high density cholesterol, so it removes cholesterol from the blood stream. Mrs. M can not find enough time to exercise. But, to walk at least 30 minutes every day and not to use an elevator are important things. She should try these activities. And, she should eat vegetables and lose weight. She must maintain desirable body weight. Eating fruits are important things. But, she must not forget that some fruits are high calorie foods. She should cook breakfast as much as possible.
Mr. and Mrs. M will have children and have time to play in the future. Because of that, their life style and daily diet will change. Maybe, Mrs. M will cook regular meals for her husband and children. And, finally, both Mr. and Mrs. Mine should exercise as possible. It is necessary for their healthy life.
