Mr M and Mrs M have an unbalanced lifestyle and diet. They have common, irregular lifestyle habits. This is bad. Firstly, they usually skip breakfast Monday through Saturday. So they have their meal two times a day. This dietary habits leads to obesity. The human body needs to have meals as frequently as three times a day. Eating fewer meas leads to starvation. So the human body tends to store up fat when starvation may occur. As a result, fewer meals lead to being overweight. Moreover, Mr and Mrs M do not have regular and moderate exercise. Mrs M said that she cannot understand why she is 10 kilos overweight. But this is a natural result. Another bad life habit is that Mr M works late and comes home late at night, so both Mr and Mrs M stay up late because Mrs M waits for Mr M to come home. An irregular lifestyle like this lead us to illness.
They have common, bad diet. Firstly, Mr M and Mrs M have very little fiber in their diet. Fiber makes for smooth excretion, because fiber contains water and increases the quantity of excrement since fiber it is not digested. And the body needs to excrete a certain quantity. If excretion is blocked, we may have the possibility of being constipated, and further, we develop a bad condition, for example, colon cancer. Bread, surely, has fiber. But the quantity is little. Mr and Mrs M must have proper meas containing fiber: seaweed, beans, potatoes, mushrooms, vegetables and fruits.
Secondly, they have little natural vitamins. All natural vitamins are organic food substances found only in living things, that is, plants and animals. With few exceptions the body cannot manufacture or synthesize vitamins. They must be supplied in the diet or in dietary supplements. Vitamins are essential to the normal functioning of our bodies. They are necessary for our growth, vitality, and general well-being. Vitamins help regulate metabolism, convert fat and carbohydrates into energy, and assist in forming bone and tissue. So, Mr M and Mrs M's meals, for example, hamburger, fried chicken, pizza, yakitori or Chinese noodles do not have enough natural vitamins and are, generally, very unhealthy.
Mr M is not too careful about cholesterol. Red meats are higher in cholesterol. And vegetable oils are high in saturated fat.
The fried chicken, fried fish and hamburgers that Mr M usually eats at lunch are made with many oils. A higher LDL-cholesterol level and a lower HDL level increases the risk for heart disease. Mr M has a high LDL level (170 mg/dL) and low HDL. There is high risk when the LDL level is 160mg/dL or above. So there is a possibility that he will develop heart disease. Furthermore, he is a heavy smoker. Smoking leads to high blood pressure and high blood cholesterol levels that are risk factors of heart disease. The risk factor can be eight times as great of developing heart disease than for someone who has none of these risk factors. And his work is very hard, he works till late night every day. I think he has a high degree of stress, also.
Mrs M is not careful about cholesterol as well. But her cholesterol condition is slightly better than Mr M's, as her HDL cholesterol level is high: Mrs M has both high HDL and LDL levels (165mg/dL). Mrs M said that she likes cheese or eggs and butter or margarine on her bread. Mrs M likes milk products, for example: cheese and butter, and these are the richest sources of calcium and provide protein and vitamin B12. She should choose low-fat varieties to keep calories, cholesterol, and saturated fat at a minimum. And eggs are excellent sources of protein, iron, zinc, and B vitamins, as are beans, nuts, and seeds. But it is good that she likes eating bread, because bread provides complex carbohydrates, and is an important source of energy. Bread also provides B vitamins, minerals, and fiber. However, she shares fast food with Mr M -- pizza, yakitori or Chinese noodles with eggs, pork and chicken.
My first piece of advice is that Mr M must quit smoking now, and have moderate exercise. Next, in his diet he must keep to regular meal times: three time a day. Next, the meal contents is another point for improvement. He should eat low-fat foods and foods having more natural vitamins: Vitamin B-1 and B-6 (his stress increases the need for them), C (to fight toxic effects of smoke and pollution), Iron (this increases resistance to stress and disease.). Foods he should try, for example, include molasses, soy beans, fresh fruits, green peppers.
Mrs M has gained weight due to have irregular lifestyle habits.
She must practice moderate exercise. She should get up early and go to bed early. In her diet she should not eat oily foods, but should eat foods containing fiber, natural vitamins: vegetables and fruits.
Mr M and Mrs M have no time to hesitate. They must change their unbalanced diet and bad lifestyle now! If they do not improve their unbalanced diet and bad life style, they will likely develop some sorts of illness in the future,.
