        Differences:

Patient A is a man. Patient B is a woman. This is a simple but important difference between two patients, I think. There are some differences between a man's body and woman's body. Patient A did little or no exercising every day. Patient B liked to ride on her bicycle on weekends. I think this difference is connected to their cholesterol levels.

        Levels of LDL:

The best LDL cholesterol level is less than 130. Patient A's LDL level is 165. This is a very dangerous level for our body, especially for coronary diseases. An LDL level of 160 or higher means we have an increased risk for heart diseases. So he was at the very dangerous point for heart disease. The coronary artery has a tendency to be blocked by cholesterol. Patient B's LDL level is 120. This is the best level but she is a member of a family where there is a history of diabetes. This hereditary disease may influence her body.

        Diet:

Patient A liked ice cream, eggs, and fatty meat. These foods consist of animal products. Cholesterol is found only in animal products. Patient B liked white bread and cheese, but she did not eat so much fatty meat. Perhaps this difference is also connected to the difference in their health.

        Other issues:

Patient A does little or no exercising. Patient B smokes a little. Proper exercising every day produces a healthy body. No exercising may contribute to a lack of good health, I think. Smoking is bad for our body and arteries.

        Suggestions:

Patient A must stop taking fatty meat or other meat and take more plant products such as vegetables, and he should exercise every day. If we continue proper exercises within 30 minutes, fat will begin to be burned and changed into amino-acid or other healthy substitutes. Heavy load exercises will produce bad influences on our body. Joints and muscles will be damaged. On the other hand, too light exercising will make no sense. Patient B must stop smoking and do exercise every day to decrease her weight.

It is said that we should take more than 30 kinds of foods. If we do not, our inside (body) can not maintain its conditions. This condition- ion for body maintenance is called HOMEOSTASIS. Destroying homeostasis may be connected to very many diseases. So, these two patients should take more than 30 kinds of foods (and patient A must exclude fatty meat).
