These collaborations were composed at Frank's loft at 791 Broadway (he had
let me and Frank Lima take over his and Joe LeSueur's old apartment at 441
East 9th Street the year before). I forgot whose idea these were but
collaborations were very much in the air at the time. If two poets happened
to be together, they might just start one at the drop of a hat.
